Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you’re a business owner or marketing manager, you’re in the right place to find out how it all works when you hire me as your videographer.
-
Very little. My process is built to take video production completely off your plate, not add to your list of worries.
Outside of our initial 20-minute call to ensure we're the right fit, I do the hard graft i.e. from creative ideation, planning and final edits.
If you’re a Marketing Manager: I will easily fit into your workflow and I don’t need any hand-holding to ensure the videos are on brand and on point.
If you’re a Business Owner: You don't have to waste time figuring out how video marketing works, I will do all of that for you.
If you already have a project brief, brilliant! If not, I will outline the project timeline with you on our calls. Either way, my process is designed to let you focus on running your business while I make the videos that grow it.

For B2B case studies and campaigns, typically two-to-four weeks to be completed (subject-to swift client feedback for any revisions.)
The majority of batch content i.e. a volume of videos created from one day of filming as a videography service, takes from two-to-four weeks too; again subject to swift client feedback for any revisions.
For my £999 videography service, usually within a week if not two-to-three days (from filming).

I work across London, The Home Counties and England.
I tend to drive to and from locations, and or, stay the night before at a hotel local to where filming will happen.
So it helps significantly if you can accommodate parking close to your place of business on filming days.
-
Filming only services need upfront payment in-full to secure the booking. You’ll also receive the rushes the same day of filming too.
Whereas videography projects (filming and editing video content), a two-part payment plan is available; 50% deposit to secure the booking and the remaining 50% when the first version(s) have been delivered.
-
For videography i.e. filming and editing video content, typical pricing is from £999 to £4,000
Whereas professional filming and lighting services are:
£999 per day multiple locations and or across England
£500 per day at one location in London and The Home Counties

Usually one or two rounds of revisions are included in videography projects and this will be confirmed upfront when I quote you a fixed-fee service. More rounds of revisions are available but at added costs.

I wil be able to work around this with advance planning. So please inform me of this upfront or as early as possible in the pre-planning stages.
-
For the majority of videography projects, your place of business or where your customers do business should suffice.
However, if or when a place of business isn’t appropriate for filming then it may be more convenient to hire a studio. However, I’m able to help source this for you and if so at added cost to the project.
-
If any ‘recces” (on location scouting visits) or on location pre-production meetings are needed this wil be decided very early on and if so should be included in the overall fixed-fee service provided.
However, for B2B videography at one place of business, a quick site visit the day before can be arranged if I am staying at a local hotel the night before filming. Or, we are usually relying on the pictures provided to me by you at the pre-planning stage of where filming will happen.
-
It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
With health concerns heightened since the pandemic if you or anyone on your team (or close to you) has fallen ill with any cold or flu-like symptoms please inform me immediately and we’ll assess it from there.
The sooner I’m made aware then the sooner I can reschedule other client work as needed to help reschedule you project and filming day(s).
However, if filming is cancelled or postponed within less than 2 working days notice then the deposit is non-refundable nor can the day of filming be rearranged at such short notice.

The final edits in their pre-agreed aspect ratios; one copy without any added graphics or any music; the other with graphics and any music.
All final edits are in 1080HD whether they’re 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.
Social cutdowns (or social edits) will have captions burnt-in to the final video
You can use the final video edits as you please across any platforms without any time-restrictions.
“Raw footage” or “rushes” (to use a better term) are not actually filmed in RAW. They’re either 4K and or 1080HD original video files (in ‘S-Cinetone’), with or without, audio embedded into them. These are not included on videography (filming and editing) projects. But what is available (for a limited-time after the shoot day and at no extra cost) are copies of clips exported (via Adobe Media Encoder) into one or more exported MP4, 1080HD video files including any audio. This saves time and money with storage and file transfers yet retains quality for archiving and future use too.
-
The original rushes with any audio embedded into each or any video file. These are MP4 files in 4K and or 1080HD resolution.
Either you provide a portable SSD and USB-C cable that are all compatible with a Apple M2 Macbook Pro, so I can transfer the rushes. Or, I’ll make them available via Google Drive for you to then download.
-
I can help you with outsourcing these if need be and manage overseeing this for you too.
